Salvation is not by works!
It is by Faith.

From the King James Version of the Holy Bible.

Psalms 49:
6- They that trust in their wealth, and boast themselves in the multitude of their riches;
7- None of them can by any means redeem his brother, nor give to God a ransom for him:

There is nothing you can give to God in the works of the flesh that will reconcile us to God, but faith in Jesus Christ who was without sin, but was made sin, and died for our sins and has risen again. This is our salvation.

Isaiah 64:
6- But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.

So there is no fleshly work that God respects as to salvation. What we might think is doing good, is filthy rags to God. In our sin we are lost as if blown about by the wind having no direction.

Ecclesiastes 1:
14- I have seen all the works that are done under the sun; and, behold, all is vanity and vexation of spirit.

Mans spirit by nature is sinful and therefore mindful of the things of this world.

Ezekiel 7:
19- They shall cast their silver in the streets, and their gold shall be removed: their silver and their gold shall not be able to deliver them in the day of the wrath of the LORD: they shall not satisfy their souls, neither fill their bowels: because it is the stumbling block of their iniquity.

All of our riches no matter what amount it may be will not deliver us from God’s anger. When your heart is set on things of this world you can never be satisfied, the cares of this world will keep us in our sins.

Ezekiel 33:
11- Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel?

God wants us to be with him and not separated from him. God has no pleasure in our death.

Psalms 127:
1- Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain. 2- It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows: for so he giveth his beloved sleep.

Search for God’s Kingdom first with all your heart and your father in heaven will give you your daily needs.

Isaiah 43:
25- I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins.

Once you accept Jesus Christ as your savoir and have been Baptized into the name above all names, ”Jesus” God can no longer remember our sins.

Mathew 5:
20- For I say unto you, that except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.

The scribes and Pharisees wanted praise of men and thought themselves to be righteous for the works of there hands and were teachers of doctrines of men, not of God.

Acts 13:
38- Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins:
39- And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the Law of Moses.
(Faith is belief in that which is not seen). Faith in Jesus Christ, not works of the flesh.

Romans 4:
1- What shall we say then that Abraham our father, as pertaining to the flesh, hath found?
2- For if Abraham were justified by works, he hath whereof to glory; but not before God.
3- For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God and it was counted unto him for righteousness.

Unwavering faith in God’s word is what God wants from us. It was righteousness to him that he believed what God told him. The works did not justify him before God. But his faith did.

Romans 3:
19- Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.
20- Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.
21- But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;
22- Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:
23- For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
24- Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
25- Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;

Romans 8:
2- For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
3- For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:
4- That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

We are saved by his Grace.

    GRACE:
  • A disposition to be generous or helpful; goodwill.
  • Mercy; or clemency.
  • A favor rendered by one who need not do so; indulgence.
  • Immunity or exemption; a reprieve.

    Though we work all our life at being a good person:

  • Helping the poor.
  • Helping our niebor.
  • Giving to charities.

  • This still will not get you into heaven.

To be saved we must repent of our sins and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ.
Acts: 4
10-Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole.
11-This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner.
12-Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

Mathew 28:
19- Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit:

These are titles of Jesus Christ. Just as we have many titles ourselves. We are father, mother, son or daughter, aunt or uncle, truck driver or nurse. We have many but Just our one name. The Apostles new well that the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit was Jesus Christ.

Colossians 2:
9- For in him dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily.

In this verse Paul was talking to the Colossians of who the man that was on this earth was (Jesus).

Colossians 2:
10- And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:

We are with God, (the Father, Son and Holy Spirit) In Jesus Christ.

Romans 10:
9-That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10-For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Acts 2: 38- Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Our belief that Jesus died for our sins is the salvation that God has for us there is no other way to have it.
